What is NEF?

The New Education Forum (NEF), established in 2015 by the Center for Innovative Education, is a dynamic platform for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and contacts in the field of educational innovation. NEF operates across Europe, bringing together representatives of over 440 organizations from 21 EU countries, including European regions and cities, higher education and research institutions, as well as employers from various industries.

Our goal is to build a broad coalition aimed at adapting education to changing realities by facilitating debates, creating valuable partnerships, analyzing local conditions, and seeking answers and practical solutions that respond to labor market needs both regionally and across Europe. Each NEF event includes workshops, presentations, networking sessions, and a conference section to support this mission.

Since the first Forum, co-organized by Professor Jerzy Buzek, the first NEF Ambassador, we have held 38 regional and pan-European events, including seven annual editions at the European Parliament, attracting over 4,660 participants. We have hosted many distinguished panelists, such as Iliana Ivanova, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, and Education, and Markus Beyrer, Director General of BusinessEurope. We previously had the honor of welcoming Tibor Navracsics, EU Commissioner for Education, who opened the first NEF Forum in Warsaw in 2015, as well as Valdis Dombrovskis (EU Commissioner), Montserrat Gomendio (Deputy Director for Education and Skills at OECD), Dominika Bettman (CEO of Microsoft Poland), and representatives of industry associations such as CEEMET and KLEPA.

NEF has taken place in numerous European cities, including Athens, Linz, Gdańsk, Caserta, Edinburgh, Limerick, Santander, Warsaw, Brussels, Poznań, Comillas, Turin, Berlin, Olsztyn, Aberdeen, Opole, Bielsko-Biała, Vigo, and Kraków.
